The Christmas lights are up and the shop is looking festive.  We have added all festive jumpers to the sale rail with 30% off and we also have a small selection of half price accessories left.  There are one or two items of reduced footwear if you are lucky enough to find your size.
The Christmas PJs have sold so well again this year, that I had to place another order to top up and also added in a new style of heart print, brushed cotton, button through pyjamas, with a gift bag in either pink or grey  – these only arrived yesterday so get in quick!
On Monday night, George, Ian and I went to Southampton to see Paul Weller in concert.  He is always fantastic, but this time, it felt so special because it’s been so long since they have been able to tour.  You could really feel their enthusiasm and enjoyment to be playing live again.  It was a good 2.5 hour non-stop set – pretty full on for a 63 year old!!  He always plays a few of the old Jam and Style Council favourites too.  A great live entertainer.
I hope you’ve all remained safe and not been blown away by Storm Arwen this weekend.  We got off lightly down here, as our family in Scotland said it was horrendous up there on the East Coast – their greenhouse blew over and they didn’t get a wink of sleep and I see there is snow in Aberdeen.
So we have a new Covid variant – Omicron.  It is reported that this variant has an increased re-infection risk and therefore new travel restrictions have been imposed.  No reported cases in the U.K. yet, but I suspect that by the time you read this, that may have changed.  It has already reached Belguim and Germany.  If you are eligible to get your booster, don’t hesitate and get booked in.  I’m keen to reinstate masks and hand sanitising again.  Becoming too dependent on vaccines alone is not enough – I know of several people who have had Covid despite being vaccinated but thankfully they’ve managed at home rather than being hospitalised, which may well have been the case had they not been vaccinated.  This may not be the case for the very vulnerable though – we want to have a Christmas together, so wearing masks and keeping our distance is a small price to pay.
Take care, look out for each other and be kind.
Sending you lots of love, good health and best wishes.
