I worked in the shop on Monday, which started wet but improved as the day went on. It was interesting to meet a lady who lives locally, but hadn’t ever been in because she doesn’t wear dresses!!! She had a dental appointment and decided to pop in beforehand. She found a number of items she liked and came back after her appointment to try them on, and ended up leaving the shop with 3 jumpers, saying she’ll definitely be back!!
Another lady called in on the off chance that we had some polo neck jumpers because she had spent the last 6 months in South Africa and was finding it terribly cold here. At the moment we still have half price winter season items available and so I was able to help and she took two!
The rest of the week was covered by Lyn and Annie, whilst I had some days at home with Ian. Weren’t we lucky with the weather – it has been so good to feel the warmth of the sunshine and see blue skies! We were able to cut the lawn, carry out some weeding and I got so much washing dried on the line.
We had lunch out one day and went to the cinema to see the Amy Winehouse “Back to Black” movie. I really enjoyed it – it is so sad to see these talented people lose their young lives to addiction. Such a waste.
I’m back in the shop on Monday and hoping that this weather continues – we have some beautiful summer clothes and footwear. We have a few half price summer footwear bargains including these pretty mules which also come in black – were £70, now just £35.
