We’ve had a poorly Lyn this week and as Annie had a wedding to attend, I worked Friday and Saturday in addition to my usual Monday to Wednesday! My goodness, I almost worked a full week! – I enjoyed it though, and the only thing to suffer was my housework, which will keep. The good news is, that Lyn has recovered and is feeling much better.
The Emsworth Arts Trail commenced this weekend and so there were lots of people strolling around browsing in the glorious sunshine. Working different days, you get to see different faces old and new, and I do love a good natter.
I wish this weather would make it’s mind up – I’ve spent my extra days dressing the shop with all of the new Autumn/Winter arrivals, so come along if you wish to secure your size. However, with the sun shining we are still selling a lot from the sale rail which is also great. Here’s a picture of part of the new display.
George had a couple of friends round for a sleep over on Friday night – they slept in a tent in the garden. Put it this way, it SOUNDED like they had a good time chattering and giggling all night! I just hope they didn’t disturb our neighbours too much. So having worked a full week, and with the noisy sleep over, I must say I was glad to get home and put my feet up.
Next week, Ian’s cousin is coming to stay with us for a few nights and we are all off to the Goodwood Revival on Sunday, so I’m praying for good weather. I’ll be wearing the same outfit as I did two years ago (if I can still fit in to it!!)
It is such good fun and a great atmosphere – we are really looking forward to it.
