Monday was very quiet in Emsworth, so I spent my time updating the website with the items sold over the weekend.  I also added a few more items to our sale.  We have placed tickets on most of the footwear with details of which sizes are still available.  We do this to save your disappointment as there are only a few odd sizes left in many of the styles and it is just the luck of the draw, as to whether your size is left.  Nevertheless, it is worth a look as there are now some really good prices on great quality leather footwear.  Sometimes, even if you are a size 4, it is worth trying a 3.5 if that is all that is available, as Caprice, in particular, are a generous fit.
On Tuesday our first arrivals were delivered from Robell – the fabulous Lena trousers which are ¾ length with a ladder effect detail at the hem (as seen in the image) – these are now on the website and available in sizes 8-18.  We now have these re-stocked in navy and a new colour of sky blue.  We also received the very popular taupe jacquard ankle grazers.  Plenty still to come, but it’s a start.
Ian had Thursday off this week, so we took advantage of such a beautiful day and walked to Lee on Solent and treated ourselves to lunch at The Tea Party.  It was very busy, in fact we had to wait for a table, but I must say the service and food was excellent – really nice to see an independent business thriving.  We shared a piece of passion fruit sponge AND a piece of bakewell sponge and certainly needed the waddle home!
I’ve been enjoying this cold but dry weather – George and I walked into our local village Stubbington, on Saturday too, so I’m certainly getting the steps in this week!
I’m not in the shop tomorrow, because I’m off to Bournemouth to view the Caprice footwear collection for Autumn/Winter.  Annie will be holding the fort in my absence, and then on Tuesday evening, we all go together to view the Adini Autumn/Winter collection.
Omicron cases are falling, restrictions are being eased and the vaccine rollout continues.  This is all positive news but we need to continue to be careful and respect each other by keeping distance where possible.  Also whilst it is no longer mandatory to wear a face covering from Thursday, we should respect those who feel more comfortable wearing them.  Likewise at Karen George we will continue wearing our masks for everyone’s safety and comfort.
Have a good week, take care, look out for each other and be kind.
Sending you lots of love, good health and best wishes.
