We’ve had it all this week – good old unpredictable British weather! On Monday we enjoyed a lovely sunny day wearing shorts and t-shirts and by the weekend we were back in long trousers and a jackets.

We had a trip to Gunwharf Quays and a walk round to the hot walls in Southsea, in beautiful sunshine on Monday. In the evening, I met with Lyn and Annie and we viewed the Adini Summer 2021 collection. Once again they have some lovely prints and I think we’ve ordered a nice range of tops and dresses – even a jumpsuit!

On Tuesday we jumped in the car and went to London for one night. George was desperate to visit Carnaby Street and Camden Market – this was a great day but a lot of walking and we were totally exhausted when we got back to the hotel. The next day we went to The Bike Shed in Shoreditch – that pleased Ian – I just go along to people watch and enjoy the refreshments along the way! The morning was fine but by lunchtime the heavens opened so we grabbed our bags and headed home.

We then had a couple of easy days at home – I had a hospital appointment which turned out to be a complete waste of time as they had to re-book me again within the next two weeks, so we could have gone to Scotland afterall! I was so disappointed, but at the time I didn’t want to delay my appointment – had I know this would happen I would have re-scheduled in the first place!

More Caprice deliveries have arrived – the lovely brogues in black or navy, and a long suede stretch boot! Thanks to Lyn and Annie, things have run smoothly without me, and I think you will agree they created a lovely soft pastel window display.

I’ll be back on Monday for a few weeks before Ian’s next week off during the summer, then he’ll have to work through until October. I hope the weather will be better for us that week.

Have a great week, sending you lots of love, good health and best wishes. Look out for each other and be kind.
