It’s no secret that I celebrated my 50th birthday this week!

Like many people who had special events and celebrations planned, it was a little “different” this year, due to the pandemic.

However, we still managed to have a lovely day and yes, I was spoiled with a meal out, flowers, chocolates, jewellery, perfume, candles and fizz!  Then, just when I thought it was all over, the next day my best friend had arranged a surprise birthday tea with more cake, food, balloons and too much fizz – my goodness I knew about it the next day – too old now!

Oh yes, and a charming card from my son, George, which read “You’ve aged rather well” (like this smelly old cheese)!!  I guess there is a compliment in there somewhere….

So I changed the window on Monday and we now have more long boots at the shop – it is half term next week so it’s over to Lyn and Annie.  Not that I have plans – possibly some decorating!

I thought I’d share an image of my beautiful birthday flowers from my husband with you all, instead of clothing or footwear – makes a nice change.

Have a fabulous week everyone.
