I’d like to begin by saying thank you to everyone who sent me kind messages and thoughts after my email last week – I was really touched.
It’s been another steady week at the shop with more and more ladies venturing out for their first shopping experience since shielding. Many have waited until their second vaccinations, giving them more confidence in the public environment. Whilst we are still being very careful, sanitising, wearing masks and keeping our distance, we are now allowing up to four customers in at any time.
We’ve had time to re-organise – we are now down to one sale rail in the centre of the shop, allowing us to spread out all of our beautiful new stock. It is displayed in colour blocks and is much easier to look though. Somehow it all feels more open and we can see the wood for the trees, making it a much more pleasant shopping experience within our limited space.
I sat back and exclaimed “Wow, we have so much colour in here!” but I love it and wouldn’t have it any other way – I’ll never tire of hearing customers saying how colourful and what a lovely little shop it is. “They always have something a little bit different” and “they are so helpful” – I know that’s a shameful plug but it’s true and I’m so proud of it!!
The final delivery which arrived from Marble last week included this fabulous skirt – the print also comes in wide leg trousers with a side split – they are lovely and it has inspired me for next weeks window display, so keep a look out for it!
