As you know I was away from the shop last week – because I was in Scotland!! It’s been a couple of years since we last visited, but this time we took my parents-in-law as it’s been much longer for them.
It was a large family gathering – lots of fun and laughter – too much food and drink, but what are holidays for?!! We were very lucky with the weather, mostly dry and some very sunny days, cooler than it had been at home which was a relief for a while. When we arrived home, it was back to hot restless nights. Very good for getting all of my washing dry though.
We did get home in time to attend a joint celebration of a wedding and 60th birthday which was very nice, and then on Sunday we had previously booked to take my parents-in-law to Goodwood house for afternoon tea and tour. So it’s been pretty busy and I’m back in the shop tomorrow for a rest!
The girls did me proud during my time away – as I always say, I am so lucky to have a reliable and trustworthy team. I can go away with confidence and not have to worry about the shop (although I can’t resist keeping in touch to see how things are on a daily basis!).
More boots have arrived as well as the first drop of our Autumn Marble order, so I am looking forward to looking through it all tomorrow.
In the meantime I’ll be working my way through my ironing pile!
