You’ll be pleased to hear that Lyn is back, and she was able to make our viewing of the Adini collection for next summer. As usual we were spoilt for choice with some really nice dresses, (lovely prints), tops and some loose fitting trousers in the most gorgeous peacock blue colour. Here’s a sneaky peak at one of the dresses.

As you know, I love the heat, however, this week it really has been quite overwhelming – the shop has been hot and relatively quiet. I think we all agree that some cooler weather and possible rainfall will be welcomed next week.
Last Sunday, Ian,George and I took the ferry across to Portsmouth and walked along the seafront to Southsea. There was a VW Festival taking place so we walked around the cars and stalls. It was very busy and so nice to see families enjoying the good weather – and of course on the walk back, we had to stop for a refreshment at the Spice Island Inn!
We are really trying to make the most of the summertime and get out as much as possible. We spent two evenings along at Pebbles Cafe in Stokes Bay. On a Tuesday evening they have a singer/musician and it was fantastic! Lots of people were up dancing on the promenade. There were so many people on the beach, eating and drinking whilst being entertained. We stayed until the sun went down and the sunset was absolutely beautiful. Then on a Wednesday, a man sits on the beach with his karaoke machine and sings, and again people were all up dancing – such a great summertime atmosphere. Apparently this has been happening for years and we didn’t even know!
