And I am one of them!  Yes, I finally succumbed to Covid.  I am currently self isolating.  I was amazed to learn that it is no longer a legal requirement to self-isolate. No wonder the cases are rising.  You are only advised to stay home and away from others, to avoid passing on the virus.  There is no way I would consider mixing until I test negative again.  Fortunately, my symptoms are mild, not pleasant, but no worse than a heavy head cold.  I have watery eyes, sneezes, stuffy nose and a tickly throat.  I have no energy and feel quite tired – I just hope it doesn’t develop further.  At first I thought it was hayfever, so if you feel the same, take a test.
Annie is single handedly holding the fort and I am so thankful.  Hopefully I’ll be over it very soon.  I know Lyn feels bad that she is unable to help but it’s just unfortunate timing.  Incidentally, Lyn has been staying with a friend who has helped her so much with her recovery – she even walked around Waitrose holding the trolly!  She’s being very good, making sure she does her daily exercises and her hard work is paying off.
As anticipated, this gorgeous weather has made us extremely busy – it’s been wonderful.  I have now taken away all of the winter boots, making space in the cupboards for more summer styles and the new clothing!  Our new styles and colours are certainly making and impression and selling well.
I was pleased with a new colourful window display this week – it just came together so easily with all the new arrivals, so I thought I’d share it with you.
Hopefully, if I test negative today and again tomorrow morning, I’ll be back in the shop and give Annie a rest!
Look out for each other and be kind.
Sending you lots of love, good health and best wishes.
